Aviation facilities often over heat in summer, causing discomfort to staff and contractors.  In hot conditions we often see heat stress which is counter-productive and is proven to cause increased mistakes, which cannot be tolerated in such an industry.

FAQ's for Aviation Facilities

What if we have low ceilings?

If your ceiling height is less than 3.5m then we would recommend a wall mounted or portable fan as a better solution for you.  These are very effective at moving tons of air, much more effectively and efficiently than the common noisy, high speed models you are used to.

Which fan is best for me?

Check out our different options above, depending on your facility type, largely depends on your ceiling height and mounting availability.

Most Aviation facilities have clearance to install our Eurus Series which offer the best cooling for large open spaces.

We lease the building - how will this work for us?

These fans are so easy to install and cause no cosmetic damage to the building - just some bolt holes in the mounting area. So when you are ready to relocate, simply dismantle them (qualified electrician) and install in your new facility.

How many fans will we need?

As a general rule of thumb, 1 7.3m diameter fan comfortably cools 1000m2 of open space. This gives you opportunity to decrease the speed (all fans have VSD) and reduce turbulence, then boost it during the hottest days to get massive windspeed for more effective cooling.

If you have obstacles on the ground, this will disrupt the airflow, which means you may require more then one fan for the ultimate cooling sensation that you will not regret.

Does it blow dust around?

When the fans first start moving the air around there will likely be some turbulence at the ground level when it will shift dust that has settled.  However, once it has been on a few minutes then dust will have been dispersed outside the reach of the fan clearing a workspace for engineers free of dust particles.
